Bookouture sign new contracts with Kelman and James

We’re excited to share the news that we have signed new contracts with historical fiction author Suzanne Kelman and thriller author Alison James.

Associate Publisher Isobel Akenhead has signed a deal direct with author Suzanne Kelman for World All Language rights in a six-book-deal, starting with THE PARIS SISTERS (2023).

Isobel says,

From the moment that Suzanne came to me with the idea of these five amazing sisters’ interlinked stories set in wartime Paris, I was completely hooked. I feel completely confident that every book in the Sisters of the Resistance series will be a huge bestseller. Suzanne is the most incredible storyteller, and I know that the drama and emotion in every single novel in this WW2 series will be – quite simply – second to none.’

Suzanne says,

Associate publisher Natasha Harding agreed a World All Languages deal, including audio, for four pulse-pounding psychological thrillers with jaw-dropping endings from bestselling author Alison James.

Bookouture sign USA Today bestselling author Danielle Stewart

We are so excited to announce that Publishing Executive Sarah Gunton has signed USA Today bestselling author Danielle Stewart for two brand new psychological thrillers. Danielle’s chart-topping stories have over 5.5 million downloads and she has held the number one spot on Amazon US and Apple Books bestseller lists.

Sarah acquired World All Language rights and the books will publish in July and October 2023.

Kim Nash promoted to Digital Publicity Director at Bookouture

We’re delighted to share the news that Bookouture has promoted Kim Nash, currently Head of Publicity, to the new role of Digital Publicity Director, effective immediately.

Kim is also a popular fiction blogger and women’s fiction author. She is one of Bookouture’s longest-standing team members, having joined the digital publisher in 2015, after establishing her own successful fiction blog Since joining Bookouture, she has rapidly grown both the publicity team and Bookouture’s social media presence.

Bookouture sign two psychological thrillers from Lauren North

We’re so thrilled to share the news that  Publishing Director Christina Demosthenous and Commissioning Editor Lucy Frederick have secured World English Language rights for two high-concept psychological thrillers from author Lauren North via Tanera Simons at The Darley Anderson Literary, TV and Film Agency.

The first, My Word Against His, will be out in May 2023.

Bookouture sign new contracts with Tallon, Green and Castle

We’re delighted to have author news for you today.  We’ve signed new contracts with authors Emma Tallon, Stacy Green and Alice Castle, and have more details about each deal below. 

We’re excited to share the news that Associate Publisher Helen Jenner has secured World All Language rights for Emma Tallon’s first Christmas book directly with the author.  The book will be publishing in September 2024.

Helen says,

‘I am thrilled to be working with Emma on a wonderful new Christmas book. This is far from the world of gangland crime, but as soon as Emma pitched me the idea, I knew I had to publish it. Associate Publisher Ellen Gleeson acquired the book via agent Justin Nash of Kate Nash Literary Agency in a deal for World All Languages, plus audio rights.

Ellie Curzon moves to Bookouture

We’re so thrilled to be celebrating the wonderful news that Ellie Curzon will be joining the Bookouture family.

Commissioning Editor Rhianna Louise has acquired World All Language rights to four World War Two saga novels in a new series by Ellie Curzon. Featuring a brave district nurse, plucky land girls, a talented vet and an intrepid Spitfire girl; the novels follow the lives of the residents of Bramble Heath village where the local boys at the airbase are working hard to defend their country. They will publish in July 2023 and September 2023, and April and September 2024.

Ellie Curzon is the pen name of Catherine Curzon and Helen Barrell. Catherine and Helen began writing together in the spring of 2017 and swiftly discovered a shared love of the past and a uniquely British sort of story. They drink gallons of tea, spend hours discussing the importance of good tailoring and are never at a loss for a bit of derring-do.

We are delighted to announce that Associate Publisher Lydia Vassar-Smith has signed Kindle Top Ten bestselling author S.D. Robertson for two psychological thrillers. Lydia acquired World All Language Rights from Pat Lomax at Bell Lomax Moreton Agency and the first book will be publishing in September 2023.
