We’re over the moon to announce some new team members and a well-deserved promotion here at Bookouture!
- Kirsty Greenwood joins as Associate Publisher
- Keshini Naidoo is promoted to Associate Publisher
- Natasha Hodgson joins as Editor from Canongate
Many of you will know the delightful Kirsty Greenwood, who founded Novelicious in 2009 and built it into the biggest women’s fiction blog in the UK. Kirsty also self-published her own chick-lit novel, Yours Truly, which went on to sell over 120,000 copies and secured her a traditional publishing deal with Pan Macmillan.
Oliver Rhodes, Managing Director of Bookouture commented,
Kirsty has got an incredible knowledge of commercial fiction, an amazing network of contacts and an entrepreneurial dynamism that makes her a perfect fit with Bookouture.
Kirsty’s focus is acquiring new novels to the list, and she is on the look out for psychological suspense, laugh-out loud romantic comedies and heart-warming women’s fiction. She said of the move:
Bookouture is such an impressive and innovative company. The relationship they have with the authors they publish is truly inspiring. I’m excited to be part of such a passionate team and look forward to building a list to be reckoned with!
We have also promoted the wonderful Keshini Naidoo to Associate Publisher, with Oliver adding:
Keshini has an incredible talent for identifying and nurturing crime and thriller authors. The list she’s developed in such a short time is nothing short of outstanding – and I know that there’s much more to come. This is the best deserved promotion I’ve ever been involved in.
And last but not least, the brilliant Natasha Hodgson joins the Bookouture team from Canongate and will work on developing the imprint’s audio list as well as acquiring her own authors.
Rhodes concluded by saying,
I’m delighted with the team that we’re putting together at Bookouture and I think Natasha is well-equipped to become one of the brightest stars of a new generation of publishers.
